Filming: Part III

Actor: Sabrina
Location/s: House (2373/3) - bedroom
In my third filming session, I managed to re-film the shots I needed and the ones I thought were the most important, which was the wallpaper, and the shots showing the wallpaper including Sabrina, as well as the close up shots of her.

Once my main actor arrived, I went on to film the shot of her rocking back and forth. The mise-en-scene includes the female character in front of the wall, observing wallpaper she has torn down, and I also added the final touches to the room by scattering some torn pieces of white paper on the floor. To get the female character's shadow to be bigger than her, I propped the lamp on the floor, in front of my camera, and faced it to where she was sat. I made sure to do this to all the shots that needed her shadow to be shown, otherwise the shadow would be distorted if I placed it somewhere else.

I made sure to shoot extra rushes during the filming of this scene, so that I could choose which clip was the best to add into the film opening, making it easier for me to edit during post-production.

To get a point-of-view shot of the female character, I had to stand behind Sabrina and film as she was writing in the journal. As I was filming this shot, I had to hold my breath for a couple of seconds so I would not shake (haha).

After I finished filming the shots I needed to re-film, I thought about filming extra shots in case I had extra space in my film. For this shot, I filmed a close-up of the alarm clock's hands turning - my best friend was underneath the table and she was turning the hands from behind. I thought about fast-forwarding this clip so that it would give the impression that the female character has been in the room for a long time. However, after I got home and imported all my rushes into Adobe Premiere Pro, this shot was not necessary, because my film opening was already over two-minutes and I needed to shorten some clips. Although this seemed like a good shot to include, I decided to abandon it because when I made the clip faster, that movement of the alarm's hands were not smooth.

Additionally, I have changed the male actor (Sean), because he is unable to make it to shooting sessions on time and I need to get my shots done with Sabrina's male counterpart. I have already asked and briefed two guys (Ali Bahzad and Shahryar Nasir) - just in case one of them does not turn up - and I will be filming them soon.
