After reading our criteria, and doing research on various film openings, I have listed down some goals I'd like to achieve by the end of my coursework. These are the three main aims that will guide me with throughout my planning, filming, as well as the post-production processes:

I will need to ensure that within the 2-minute limit we are given, my audience is able to distinguish the film's genre through the use of various codes and conventions.

To use a variety of camera techniques
To achieve and effectively present the scenes for the audience, I will need to reflect on the varied ways I will have to shoot, and play close attention to the mise-en-scene.

To present objects that will invoke different meanings
I have set this as one of my aims as I would like to subtly unveil something about the character/s or plot of the film, and/or to create a feeling or mood, in ways which enables the audience to interpret it in multiple ways.
